Which Oakland?

There are three (count 'em, three) "Oakland"s in Wisconsin. Any idea WHICH he was born in? Badbilltucker 13:15, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can also add 2 more Oakland, Wisconsin-2 unincorporated communities in 2 different counties. Thank you-RFD (talk) 12:27, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No specifics, but according to a SABR bio here, he was born in Oakland, Wisconsin; however, he was went to high school at Fort Atkinson. It can only be conjecture, but I assume, he was born in the closest farm community called Oakland.Neonblak talk - 12:34, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I found an article from the Milwaukee Journal January 29, 1965 about the death of Billy Sullivan. This confirms he was born in Jefferson County in the town of Oakland. I added it to the article. Thank you-RFD (talk) 17:41, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Sullivan (baseball)Billy Sullivan (baseball, born 1875) – avoid confusion with Billy Sullivan Jr. Joeykai (talk) 02:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Natg 19 (talk) 23:35, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • He was also an "1890s catcher", so I am not sure that format works here. Dekimasuよ! 06:23, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NCBASE uses the wording "predominantly played in a single decade" - clearly, careers will not entirely fit into one decade most of the time. 162 etc. (talk) 14:00, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, maybe they should both be disambiguated as per NCBASE above, Jr. is also sometimes called just Billy Sullivan.--Ortizesp (talk) 12:43, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the 1875 one has 154 views but Billy Sullivan Jr. has 39[[1]] which probably isn't enough for a PDAB. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:24, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
