Aftermath or Legacy

Regarding the "aftermath" or "legacy" of the incident: I'm curious to know why these reports of a 2012 re-investigation into the "reign of terror" are not mentioned -- and more importantly why there are no reports available about the investigation itself. Or if it ever happened. This is the report I mean: URL: https://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/20/us/new-inquiry-of-deaths-on-reservation-in-the-1970s.html Headline: S.D. Attorneys Will Re-Examine Reservation Deaths - The ...

A second report: https://www.npr.org/2012/08/18/159058219/near-wounded-knee-years-of-alleged-injustice Headline: Pine Ridge Reservation Deaths To Be Reinvestigated August 18, 201212:22 AM ET

There are several reports about the proposed re-investigation from 2012 yet not a single report anywhere after the summer of 2012 Did the investigation actually take place? What were the findings? Thanks

What say you good folks about adding this article to the Category:Riots and civil disorder in South Dakota? Seems like it ought to fit, but I thought I'd run it by folks here first. Jepster4515 (talk) 03:01, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
